Belarusian agricultural workers have gathered in potatoes from 11,400 hectares which is 43.8% of the area under this crop, the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
Belarusian agricultural enterprises have harvested cereals and leguminous crops (including maize) from 2.176 million hectares, which is 88.1% of the targeted area. Progress was at 90% (362,000ha) in Brest Oblast, 98.5% (352,000ha) in Vitebsk Oblast, 84.6% (353,300ha) in Gomel Oblast, 88% (312,900ha) in Grodno Oblast, 84.9% (458,900ha) in Minsk Oblast, and 85.3% (337,300ha) in Mogilev Oblast. All in all, 8.071 million tonnes of grain was threshed by agricultural enterprises and private farms.
Maize has been harvested from an area of 11,700ha, producing 86,700 tonnes with the average yield at 74.1 centners per hectare. Millet has been harvested from an area of 11,100ha (93% of the area under this crop), producing 23,400 tonnes with the average yield at 21.1 centners per hectare. Buckwheat has been harvested from an area of 31,100ha (90.1% of the area under this crop), producing 42,000 tonnes with the average yield at 13.5 centners per hectare.
Sugar beet has been harvested from 21,900ha, which makes up 23.4% of the targeted area. Other vegetables have been harvested from 2,920ha or 43.2% of the targeted area.
Winter grain was sown on 829,200 hectares, which is 54.1% of the plan, including winter barley on 142,700 hectares.
