Belarus, Egypt to arrange sports weeks in 2022

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Sergey Terentiev met with Minister of Youth and Sports of Egypt Ashraf Sobhi on 1 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the schedule of joint sports events in 2022, including within the framework of celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. They agreed to arrange the sports weeks of Belarus and Egypt that will be held in the winter/spring period in Egypt and in the summer period in Belarus.

The parties also discussed in detail plans to intensify bilateral cooperation in youth policy. They expressed interest in Belarus’ participation in the World Youth Forum in Sharm el-Sheikh in 2022.
