Vehicles, which enter Belarus via the Novaya Guta border checkpoint (the Ukrainian border checkpoint Novi Yarylovychi on the other side of the border), will be subjected to mandatory disinfection. The experiment will take place from 1 July through 1 October 2021, representatives of the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
Buses, cars, and trucks with Belarusian registration and foreign registration will be subjected to disinfection. The company OOO BelGlobalGarant will provide the service in exchange for control marks, which can be bought in BelGlobalGarant's retail outlets and at the Novaya Guta border checkpoint from representatives of the Belarusian state insurance company Belgosstrakh and Belarusbank.
The driver or the owner of the vehicle will have to show the control mark to the border service officer, who inspects documents upon entry to Belarus.
The border service officer will break the control mark and return it to the driver or the owner of the vehicle.
Vehicles, whose owner or driver refuses to buy control marks, will not be allowed to enter Belarus. Once the vehicle goes through the necessary control procedures at the border checkpoint, it will have to go to the disinfection site, which is located outside the border checkpoint.
