Belarusian Gomselmash to spend over $130m on modernization

The Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash intends to spend over $130 million on modernization. Gomselmash Director General Aleksandr Novikov shared the plans with reporters before a conference of founders and members of the industrialist union Progress, BelTA has learned.

Gomselmash is busy upgrading its manufacturing facilities. Some of the new modern equipment will be delivered this quarter. The bulk of the new equipment is scheduled for delivery in 2024. “We intend to spend a total of over $130 million on modernization. The enterprise will reach new heights in terms of technology, better performance, and a higher competitive ability. We will upgrade the existing technological base and will become able to make even more competitive products in terms of special technical parameters of our machines,” Aleksandr Novikov stressed.

The conference of founders and members of the industrialist union Progress took place at Gomselmash premises. Representatives of Belarus and Russia were made familiar with Gomselmash's manufacturing potential before the plenary session.
