Social security

The department on labor and social security has registered 12,466 pensioners and allowance receivers, of them 282 – war participants, 121 – families of killed soldiers and partisans and 49 – home front workers.

The region’s authority pays special attention to lonely people, people living alone, large families, families upbringing disabled children. The region totals 717 lonely, 2,713 living alone, 156 disabled children, 448 large families. Every year the territorial center on social service jointly with the region’s farms render assistance to the abovementioned categories in terms of agricultural products and fuel supplies for winter period.

Assistance in harvesting at personal subsidiary farms, supplying with fodder and fuel and repairing the houses is not a complete list of services rendered to pensioners and veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
