The Supreme State Council approved a Union State action plan to mark the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders, BelTA has learned.
The plan includes socially significant events in culture, education, sport, health resort treatment and a number of information projects (a total of 27 events).
The central event of the Union State as part of the 80th anniversary celebrations will be a large-scale gala concert titled as One Great Victory for All in Minsk on 3 July 2024 with the participation of popular Belarusian and Russian artists and groups.
The theme of the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation will be featured in the events of the Union State within the framework of the 33rd edition of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, the Union State on Kupala Night concert, the Art of the Young festival, the tour of the Belarusian-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra and others.
For the purpose of civic and patriotic education of children and youth, respect for the past and the present of the fraternal peoples of Belarus and Russia, preservation of the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, the culture ministries of the two countries will also organize mass screenings of films on military topics in museums, cinemas, community centers.
